Hiking & Backpacking Hiking the Tour du Mont Blanc with a baby

Part 2 in the ‘Planning to Hike the Tour du Mont Blanc with an Infant’ article series just published

Just wanted to let you know that Part Two of a three-part series on hiking the Tour du Mont Blanc with an infant is live over at Cicerone-Extra.  The first part covered long-range planning issues like selecting a destination and making sure you are adequately trained; this second part discusses planning needed just before the trip for things like eating, sleeping, water, clothing, diapers, and which type of baby carrier to use.  It took a lot of planning to make that trip happen, but I look back on it as one of the best experiences of my life.  Part Three will be published in a few weeks and will recount the adventures of the trip itself…

And a special welcome to readers arriving here from the Cicerone-Extra article.  You might be interested to check out the story of the hike Carys and I did with some friends from Breckenridge to Aspen in Colorado in late summer 2015; click here and start reading the articles from the bottom up for chronological order (I do wish WordPress would let me fix that).
